This document contains a tutorial on accessing your Microsoft Office 365 Outlook email account. This tutorial will discuss how to log in and access your Outlook account, as well as how to access your address book and calendar, create meetings in your calendar, and how to share your calendars.

 

Login

  2. Visit https://outlook.live.com/owa/. Visiting this website will bring you to the following page:

 

 

  1. Here, click on the Sign In button at the top of the screen. Clicking this will take you to a login page. Login to your Microsoft account using your first initial and last name @thompsonpublicschools.org.
  2. Successfully logging in will bring you to the home page of Outlook.

How to Access the Address Book

As part of your Outlook membership within the Thompson Public Schools District, a directory of all members of the Thompson Public Schools District is available. To access your address book, follow these steps:

  1. On the taskbar on the left side of the screen, click on the icon at the bottom of the page labeled “People.” It will appear as the image shown to the left.

Description automatically generatedOnce you have clicked this icon, you will be brought to the Contacts page, shown below:

 

  1. To access the Address Book, select “Default Global Address List.”

In this directory, you will be able to view all user accounts registered within the Thompson Public Schools District. To find a specific person, you may click the search bar at the top of the page and type in the name of the person you are looking for.

 

Calendar

To access the calendar within Outlook, click on the calendar icon in the same location where you found the People icon.

To create an event on your calendar, simply click on the date you are looking to create an event on. A textbox will appear that allows you to create your event.

*If you would like to share your calendar, click the share button on the top right corner of the screen. When prompted, enter the email address or contact name of the person/people you would like to share your calendar with. You may also set viewing permissions in the dropdown on the bottom of the popup tab. The sharing and permissions popup is shown below.
