Extending a Screen (Windows and Chromebooks)

How to extend your display on a Windows Laptop or PC:


  1. Click the Windows icon in the bottom left of your screen (enter image description here)
  2. Select the gear icon. It will be the second icon up from the bottom
  3. Click "System" and then "Display"
  4. If your display or board is not plugged in to your computer yet, do so now
  5. Scroll down to the heading "Multiple displays"
  6. To EXTEND your display to the next screen, click on the dropdown box and select "Extend these displays"
  7. To change the "location" of the second screen, scroll back up to the top of the page and drag the box that shows "2" to whichever side of your Windows Laptop or PC you would like it on



How to extend your display on a Chromebook:


  1. At the bottom right, select the time.
  2. Select Settings  located at the top right of the popup window
  3. In the "Device" section on the left side, select Displays.
  4. Un-check "Mirror Internal Display" to extend your screen
  5. To adjust your Chromebook screen, select Built-in Display. To adjust your the "location" of your board's screen, click and drag the name that doesn't show "Internal Display" to the position that you would like it.



**IF PLUGGED INTO YOUR SMART BOARD, THE SECOND DISPLAY'S NAME WILL SAY "EPSON"**
